With the deepest sense of regret, the Political Bureau recalls the contribution of the ill-fated as a combatant of the armed struggle for national liberation who joined the ranks of the MPLA in 1961.
At the time, he stood out in the group of professionals of cinema and photography to register several moments of the struggle of national liberation, contributing in this way for the preservation of images that today have turned into real relics and important documents with great historical value.
With the implementation of the first MPLA delegation in Luanda in November 1974, the deceased was responsible for the area of photography and cinema of the Information and Propaganda Department of the MPLA Central Committee. At the time of his death, comrade ARMANDO DO CARMO GUINAPO was 80 years old and was an FAA colonel on retirement.
